Raised homes on flood plinths for 300 families who lost theirs in the monsoon.

The monsoon floods of the last three years washed away thousands of homes in Sylhet. Families rebuilt on the same low ground, and lost them again.

Building above the water

Each home stands on an earth plinth a metre above the highest recorded flood, with a tin roof, a latrine and a rainwater tank. Families choose the plan and help build it.
